This file will update your Global Village TelePort Platinum Comm Slot firmware. Firmware refers to the software in the modem's read-only memory (ROM). By updating the firmware, you can quickly and easily improve the operation and the functionality of your modem without changing its hardware requirements. Version 1.511 of the TelePort Platinum Comm Slot firmware updates the modem to the V.34+ITU standard, enabling connection speeds of up to 33.6 kbps. Please note that connection speeds can vary with telephone line noise and limitations in the capabilities of your local phone company's network.
