Palm Basic is a utility written for the Palm series of handheld devices. It is designed to allow you to write programs on your Palm for your Palm. The language is designed to be simple to use, yet sufficiently powerful to allow the construction of genuinely useful programs.
Palm Basic consists of a program management screen, similar to memo pad. This allows you to organise your programs by category. From here, you can edit and run your programs, or you can go into console mode. Console mode allows you to execute single lines of BASIC, or to run your programs by name.
Palm Basic supports integer, floating point, and string variables, as well as single and multi-dimensional arrays. It supports the common structures found in BASICs i.e. for - next loops, do - loop, if - else - then (either on a single line or over multiple lines), goto and gosub. The PBrick library provides a API for bidirectional IR communication between the palm computing platform and the lego mindstorms RCX controller. Possible applications for this library range from simple emulation of the lego remote control to lego robots extended with an on-board palm device using the RCX as an intelligent IO controller and the palm As the central processor of the robot.
Important: The pbrick library is not compatible with PalmOS 5 based devices. This is due to the fact, that the pbrick library does some very nasty things to the irda hardware of the palm and hence directly accesses the irda hardware. PalmOS 5 based device use a completely different hardware and thus require a complete rewrite of pbricks.

PPrefs 1.2
PPrefs allows you to save sets of preferences for the buttons on your Palm OS device and system sound levels more>>
PPrefs allows you to save sets of preferences for the buttons on your Palm OS device and system sound levels. For instance, you might name a set "Quiet" for use in meetings, with all of the sound levels set to "Off", have another set called "Normal", which you would use at other times, and a third set called "Games", which would change the buttons so that you can switch easily between PScore and PPick, to roll dice and keep score for a game. Instead of having to go to the Preferences screen and set each preference separately, you can save different groups of preferences with a name in PPrefs, and easily switch between them.
Features:
- Sets preferences for what applications the buttons launch
- Sets preferences for system sounds
- Name as many sets of preferences as you want (up to the memory available in your Palm OS device)
- Apply any set of preferences you have named, at any time
- Not specific to any particular type of Palm OS device, as long as it has at least some of the standard buttons and uses the standard Palm sound preferences. Note that this application is not recommended for most phone-style Palm devices, such as the Treo, since they usually don't have standard Palm buttons or sounds.
