In response to initial customer and developer feedback, Apple has made improvements to its Universal Serial Bus (USB) software for iMac customers. The iMac Update 1.1 includes these improvements, which enhance the experience with many USB peripherals, as well as enhancements previously released in iMac Update 1.0. While Apple suggests that every iMac user install this update, it notes that only those using additional USB devices other than the Apple USB keyboard and Apple USB mouse included with the iMac are likely to notice the improvements after installation. This version improves the identification of USB devices during start-up and more.

Note: You must install the iMac Firmware Update before installing the iMac Update 1.1.

PowerBook 500 series batteries are intelligent batteries that contain a microchip that monitors the amount of energy the battery has left. In some cases, when the PowerBook communicated with the chip it would receive corrupt information and not charge properly. This update corrects the problem and allows for normal charging of the battery.

This software updates Mac OS X 10.3, 10.3.1, 10.3.2, 10.3.3, or 10.3.4 to version 10.3.5. The 10.3.5 Update delivers enhanced functionality and improved reliability for Mac OS X v10.3 Panther and is recommended for all users.

The Color StyleWriter 4000 Series version 1.1 update is a serial printer driver to be used when your computer is connected directly to the Color StyleWriter 4100 or 4500 printer using the serial cable that comes with the printer. This update fixes communication problems resulting in messages such as ""The printer is not responding"" or ""Sorry, a system error occurred (-23)."" This update also improves printing behavior in some low-memory situations. If your printer is connected to a Power Macintosh G3 computer using the serial cable, or you experience these problems frequently, you should install the update. If your Color StyleWriter is connected to your computer via a LocalTalk network, you do not need to install the update. You'll need Apple Disk Copy to open this file.

AppleShare IP 5.0.2 users should download this software. It provides support for G3 systems and Mac OS 8.1. The AppleShare IP Web and File Server 5.0.3 includes a fix for instances where the Web server would crash when restarting the system under heavy load, a fix for instances where HTTP KeepAlive sessions were not always properly timed out by the server, and a fix for a problem where delivery of remote mail was delayed under some circumstances. The included AppleShare IP Print Server 5.0.3 provides a fix for instances where print jobs were sometimes "dropped" on busy servers. It also provides better compatibility with PostScript files generated by applications other than Apple laser printers. This fixes problems with printing from many graphics applications.

This HP DeskWriter printer driver allows you to print to your HP DeskWriter printer. Models supported are the 600, 660, 680, and 694 (Japanese only).
