Microsoft's answer is to run a DST editor on EACH machine. This is why Day Saver can save an average admin with 50 or more pre-XP PCs on his/her network an entire day of manually updated each machine with Microsoft's utility TZEdit.

The exception to this is G4 upgrades in Beige machines, in which the caches are not enabled by the hardware or the OS.
With the XLR8 MACh Speed Control X software installed, the backside cache on all G3s and G4s (in Beige and higher machines) will be enabled at a processor to cache ratio of 2:1 with Write-Through off.
Do not install this software if your ZIF upgrade cannot run its processor speed to cache ratio at 2:1. The software will crash and Mac OS X will fail to launch.
