Microsoft Kernel-Mode Driver Framework 1.1

KMDF 1.1 supports the following new features:
• Development of drivers for Windows 2000
• Additional methods for DMA:
• WdfDmaEnablerGetFragmentLength returns the maximum length of a DMA transaction that the operating system supports.
• WdfDmaEnablerWdmGetDmaAdapter returns a pointer to the underlying WDM DMA_ADAPTER structure that the framework creates when you create a DMA enabler object.
• WdfCommonBufferCreateWithConfig creates a buffer for DMA and enables you to specify the alignment for the buffer.
• Additional debugger extensions, including !wdftmffile, which sets the trace message file that the !wdflogdump command uses to format the KMDF trace log
KMDF includes:

• Documentation
To download KMDF, you must burn an ISO file to a CD or DVD. Therefore, you must have a CD burner or a DVD burner with appropriate supporting software. If you do not have a CD or DVD burner, you can find third-party software products on the Internet that will allow you to create a virtual CD or DVD drive.
