Marvell TOPDOG 802.11b/g Wireless Driver 1.0.0.17

The Marvell TopDog™ WLAN technology is the world’s first solution based on the IEEE’s draft technical specification for next-generation WLAN products. Marvell TopDog WLAN solutions include the 88W8060, a highly integrated, high throughput RF transceiver, and the 88W8360, a single chip MAC/Baseband System on Chip (SoC). Marvell TopDog WLAN solutions are targeted for application in desktop and laptop PCs, set-top clients, and other emerging consumer and PC applications.
TopDog solutions include Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology which enables higher performance and improved reach over currently available 802.11 a/b/g based products. Supporting the 2.4 GHz and the 5GHz bands, as well as 20MHz and 40MHz channelization, Marvell TopDog WLAN technology offers a peak performance of 300Mbps. For complete interoperability, TopDog is backwards compatible with existing 802.11a/b/g solutions.
Advanced Quality of Service (QoS) mechanisms required for the emerging digital home market are supported by TopDog, enabling transmission of multiple high-definition video streams while simplifying the end-user experience.
The 88W8060 RF transceiver supports the high throughput rates in the emerging 802.11n standard, as well as all of the rates in the 802.11a, 802.11g, and 802.11b standards. Using its MIMO capabilities with multiple antennas, up to two transmit and three receive paths are supported. Various antenna diversity modes are also supported across the 2x3 system.
The TopDog 88W8360 SoC also supports the high throughput rates of the emerging 802.11n standard, as well as all of the rates in the 802.11a, 802.11g, and 802.11b standards. A high-performance on-chip CPU and internal memory enables the highest integration with the lowest cost. Full implementation of the power management functions in the emerging 802.11n specification minimizes system power requirements.
